The campus bell rang at 3 am. We students were loitering around in the college campus. We had no idea what we were doing there at such an odd time!

It was pitch dark outside. I looked up at the sky to find the moon. Then I realized it was a new moon night. I trembled with fear just as my other friends.

Suddenly, a girl from our group screeched loudly. Someone had touched her shoulder, she claimed upon asking her. This frightened us further.

We all stepped onto the ground. The ground always had neon lights lit up at night to make the green grass on the ground more scenic. But how could it be off today? We were almost shocked.

Only the few government lamps installed in the campus were lit, due to which we could barely manage to see ourselves and the way.

Walking hands in hands, we crossed the ground and started moving through the trees on the left. Suddenly I turned back and noticed a woman in white dress walking towards us!

I informed others to walk fast. But it was not possible as there were many pebbles on the path. The woman approached us quickly and shouted, “Students, don’t go that way.”

We turned back to realize that it was none other than our Maths teacher. We felt relieved that we didn’t encounter any witch according to our thought.

“Look there. There’s a haunted tree ahead which will follow your path if you go near it,” she warned.

We looked forward and didn’t notice any such tree. To our astonishment, the woman was nowhere to be seen behind us. But how could she disappear on the open ground? We all trembled with fear by now!

We turned back and stepped onto another route which goes to the half-demolished building in the campus. We started taking brisk steps till the building. The unusual winds blowing in the campus and making noise due to the adjoining trees frightened us at every moment.

Once again a girl walking ahead screamed loudly. A black cat with neon-green coloured eyes stood right in the middle of the road staring at us in an aggressive manner!

We shooed that cat away. It uttered a dangerous MEOW at us before disappearing into the nearby bushes! Ignoring it, we stepped ahead.

Soon we reached that building and a tree right in front of it started waving vigorously with the wind. We all stood there leaning by the wall of the building.

Suddenly, that tree stopping waving and remained steady without a single leaf! All the leaves had shaded down all of a sudden!

We were all astonished. I started gazing at the tree and stepped towards the tree alone.

It was a huge tree. We had never seen that tree in our campus earlier. I went closer to find out if anyone was hiding behind that tree.

Suddenly the tree set ablaze and the fumes formed a fiery image of a spirit.

All other students shouted at me to return back to the building. I slipped there while turning back. In a moment the entire tree was burning! I started running back to the building with large jumps.

Everyone was screaming with fear and I stood there gazing at the burning tree!

Suddenly, a spirit evoked out of the flames and started moving towards us quickly. We all shouted and started running away from the building towards the gate as fast as we could.

“Bhoot aaya.. Bhaago jaldi.. Bhaago..” I kept screaming till my mother shook me very hard to bring me out of my horror dream!

The Journey

Disclaimer: This story is purely fictional. Any resemblance to name, place, organization or community is purely a coincidence. The story is neither meant for harming any living being, nor does it encourage suicidal activities. The images used in the post are only for representation purpose. They are downloaded from internet and the author doesn't bear the rights of the same.

It was Sunday. She went to Marine Drive that day!

She used to come home from the hostel on few Saturdays, spend a day with her parents and then return to the hostel on Sunday.

She was stressed with life. The studies and exams have been hitting her harder these days! It seemed, she kept all the negativity with her. She never spoke about it to her friends in college as they were new to her and neither to her parents who were far away from her.

That day she decided to witness the scenic beauty of Marine Drive for the last time. She had planned to commit suicide on reaching the hostel.

As she reached Marine Drive, she spotted something unusual!

A large crowd had gathered at a place and the people there seemed terrified. She had no idea what had happened. She tried to get a glimpse at the center of the crowd, but she couldn’t reach there.

She asked a passer-by about the incident.

“Pata nahi ekjactly kyaa hua hai! Lekin kuch log bol rahe hai ki koi admi achanak se behosh hokar zameen pe gir gaya!” (English translation: I don't know what happened exactly! But, few people are saying that a man fell unconsciously on the ground.)

This tragic incident dejected her further. She felt as if she’s the only one causing all the problems on this Earth!

Soon, an ambulance arrived and departed for the hospital within a couple of minutes. She realized that people die unknowingly in this world and it will be her turn, the next day!

After some time, she left the place for the railway station. She used to board the same train whenever she came home.

She was shocked a bit. The berth opposite to her was empty. As the departure time was approaching, she started feeling restless. She searched the entire coach but couldn’t find that old man!

A few months ago, when she was heading to her hostel for the first time, her parents had arrived at the station to drop her. They were worried about her as it was the first time they were leaving her alone.

An old man, bald and aged in 70s, yet a cheerful person, seated on the berth opposite to her noticed the anxiety amongst her parents. He assured them that he will look after her throughout the journey. She reached hostel safely.

Since then, whenever she visited home and was returning to the hostel on Sunday, she would find him on that very same seat.

She was not talkative as such. But, eventually, they both started talking with each other. He often appraised her for her smartness and that she was trying to become an independent girl as her parents never worried about her journey anymore. She used to tell him about the modern education system, the life of Mumbaikars and other casual news.

He, in turn, would tell her about his village, where he lives and the life of a modern villager now! He used to ask her about the wonderful places to visit in Mumbai so that he could visit them the next time he comes and she would present a list of places before him.

Though he was a senior citizen, he never seemed to suffer from any problems like fatigue, blood pressure issues, etc. In fact, he used to eat a lot and be cheerful throughout the journey. She was very fond of his way of living.

It was that unique bond between them that made her feel restless. She couldn’t even enquire with TTE as there are no registrations of Second Class passengers as such!

Suddenly, she remembered his village he always mentioned about and the way to get there. She alighted the train at his destination station and took a bus further to his village. She asked his address at a local shopkeeper who hired an auto for her.

As she reached his house, she saw a crowd of villagers gathered at his place. She confirmed with an elderly person about his house. Reaching ahead she saw the members of his family crying their heart out! But she couldn’t notice that old man anywhere.

She could, in no way, go up to them and ask about him! She backed her steps and asked that same elderly man outside, what happened there and where that old man was.

He spoke out.

“He was the most respected person of this village.”

“Sorry, but did you say, ‘he was’?”

“Yes, girl. We got a news this noon that he lost his life at a hospital in Mumbai. He fell down unconsciously at Marine Drive this morning. They are bringing him here now.”

She was totally shocked by now. She remembered the crowd at Marine Drive that morning and was unfortunate to meet him the last time.

“But, how did this happen? He was very healthy till last week when I saw him.”

“He suffered from cancer and was in the last stage. He knew he was going to die sooner or later. So, since few months, he insisted on visiting all places where he hadn’t been because he wanted to live his remaining life in a happy n joyful manner without any worries. Hence, he used to visit Mumbai often. He had a brave heart, I must say. Who else has the courage to face death this way?”

She was set aback. Tears rolled down her eyes. Her confidence to face death had, by now, vanished. She kept thinking how that old man remained cheerful throughout all their journeys and never spoke about the disaster he was going through! It was because, he chose to face it positively, no matter what! And she's the one who was thinking of leaving this world like a coward!

The ambulance reached their place that very moment. Regaining her consciousness, she rushed towards the ambulance and just whispered “Thank You” in the ears of the lifeless body for that priceless motivation!

Wiping the tears, she left the place with tons of positivity and a changed life indeed!

Updates!

Hello friends! It was ages when I wrote something for you the last time! haha.. just kidding.. It was just 2 months ago! lol! 2 months is also a long time!

I was about to write something recently, but then, all of a sudden, I realized I hadn't finished with a single submission, that too, after due dates! Anyways who follows them (atleast not in Engineering, I suppose!)

To top that up with, I had 1 submission left to be done! Yet, I gave my practical exam successfully (with that typical "chalta hai" attitude) and now I'm just left with end semester exams!

Oh! Semester exam!

It's scheduled just next week! N I've started my studies with a fearful mind, the reason being I've not done a single topic this sem unlike previous semesters! By the way, odd sems are always hectic and troublesome, I don't know why!

Meanwhile, someone expecting a pointer of 10 from me this sem! I would thank God if I don't score the lowest till now! Anyways, pointers don't affect me that much! ATKT can!

Now, let's roll on to some updates!

Finally done with a total number of 22 PCB projects of colleagues in the concluding weeks of this academic sessions! It was really a hard-work! Phew! It didn't pay-off worth the efforts, But there was a feeling of great satisfaction. I got improved in those skills too! Yeah! In that way, it actually paid-off!

BJP lost Bihar elections! Did their strategy fail miserably or is it just that Modi wave was blown out of Bihar!
(This Modi wave was actually a whooping win of 22/40 seats in Bihar constituencies in 2014 general elections)
Anyways, Amit Shah was going to respond to all the happenings (you know which) in our nation after Bihar elections.
........... Eagerly awaiting!

Recently, someone told me that I look like a girl with my long hair! I asked him if he knew the reason behind the difference between the excreta of goat, cow and buffalo after eating same grass! Obviously, he didn't! That's how I concluded he doesn't even know shit! And still he's judging me on basis of my hair!

(Above incident is purely fictional and has no relevance to any person, living or dead!)

Diwali is on! I realized it when mom told me to apply utne (a medicinal herb) while bathing on first day! "Deep" from Deepawali is replaced by "Phatake" to make it a Phatakewali, indeed! Bursting of crackers couldn't be stopped! Let there be an increase in pollution in an already polluted city! Let all the pets lose their powerful hearing senses! sigh!
By the way, HAPPY DIWALI!

Wait, it's already 11! I've been writing for a long time! Let me edit, post and get back to studies! I'll be back with a new & interesting post soon after my exams!

Wish me luck for this sem, folks!

Death Confession

After some definite period....

I laid down in my bed watching out for angels to appear and direct
me to the heaven. But nothing of that sort happened. I had, in fact, landed in a complete different world all of a sudden.

With some extra-ordinary vision, I could see my closed ones sobbing over my dead body. But I was helpless. I couldn't go and take the condolences of my own death. Those emotional expressions changed into scary ones very soon.

I was burnt with traditional rituals, transforming my body into fumes n ashes. Only few calcium carbonate bones were left out there, which were later collected by someone I didn’t notice!

That night, they experienced several unusual incidents in my house. It started with rattling of spoons, glasses and other utensils. They were scared.

Soon, it started raining with thunderstorm. The tube-lights flickered and electricity of my house ran down all of a sudden.

The window shut close with a loud noise and couldn’t be opened! A loud voice sought their attention on a dreadful and scary face on d wall. They screamed, shouted and left my place with a shiver in their own body.

The next day a priest was called and he advised to keep my house locked for ever!

It was no way I could explain to them about the facts I could visualize.

A little mouse resided in my house since a couple of days and was yet to be the prey of my cat. It was that mouse who ran over the utensils that night making noises.

The weather forecast was declared a week ago, mentioning that it was going to pour badly in forthcoming days!

Also that I'd requested the electrician to troubleshoot the electrical issues of my house remained a mystery!

The face they saw in the dark was actually one of my best scary paintings which I'd placed on the wall and I’d rarely shown it to anyone.

The absence of awareness of these facts led to an increase in fear in everyone's minds, eventually turning my happy-house into a haunted-house!

Non Orgasm Movement

DISCLAIMER: This is a fictional post. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. This post does not, in any way, encourage the formation of any organization mentioned. The contents of this post may be considered vulgar & offensive by some readers. Reader discretion is advised!

It had started off with a usual day until someone’s urge to satisfy his pleasure right in the morning couldn’t get fulfilled and instead met with a blank html displaying “This site has been blocked as per the instructions from Department of Telecommunications!”

The streets were full of skeletons of porn-craving creatures roaming restlessly in the town. They were in hundreds and thousands. I was unaware of the happenings until I got a notification on one of my Whatsapp group.
Guys after knowing about #PornBan!

Even an electron movement would be slower when compared to the rate at which such news spread on social media! Soon, a hashtag #PornBan became active on Twitter! Porn addicts were too frustrated on this decision and started expressing their anger against their sole rights on various social networking sites!

The next day, All India Modern Youth Council Chief, Arjun Thakur, was asked about his reactions on this shocking decision of Government. Surprisingly, he was feeling too depressed to talk to reporters, probably due to lack of masturbation, according to his personal secretary who told them with the promise of keeping her name confidential. He was madly searching for his old 2 TB hard disk since yesterday, she added.
Trolling Govt. like a boss..!!
Arjun, later in the evening, gave a press conference on this issue and declared a Non Orgasm Movement starting on the very same day. Several members and supporters along with Arjun took an oath in front of Funny Leone's HD posters. Within few hours, this event was viral and the youth extended their support on large scale by registering themselves on www.nonorgasmmovement.org.

According to the agreement in registration process,

  • an individual should not have any kind of sexual pleasure with any person (including life-partner), object, etc.
  • an individual should neither possess nor buy any kind of pornographic videos which may be the source of orgasm
  • an individual should not entertain any prostitute by any means
  • an individual should not study any biological subject related to sex organs
  • an individual should not buy any object/device related to sex
  • an individual should explain the necessity of Non Orgasm Movement to other people

The event itself was a trending topic. The national economy went down suddenly. The news headlines changed from “Ban on porn: blessing or curse?” to “Non Orgasm Movement: a revolution”, yet the debates remained as usual with the same set of panelists with their same opinions!

Arjun scheduled a candle-march next day in protest against this blind decision of Government to showcase the power of the youth. People gathered in large numbers to raise their voice against the decision. The slogans could be heard and posters could be viewed from quite a long distance.

One of the teenage girl supporting the movement was questioned, “Did your parents allow you to participate in this movement?” She fled the place at once, never to be witnessed there again!

The ministers arrived after few hours. The reporters surrounded them with their questions, the answers of which the ministers couldn’t give satisfactorily. Being aware of the present scenario, Government removed the ban after an internal meeting. As soon as it was declared, the sweets were being distributed amongst people to celebrate the freedom of self-controlled human rights!

Someone amongst the crowd noticed the minister checking 1 of those 857 sites before getting into his car and shouted loudly, “Sir, Parliament me mat dekhna! Warna resign karna padega, pichle walo ki tarah!” In response to this advice, the minister left the place with unexpected mouthful abuses for that person!

Nevertheless, Non Orgasm Movement proved to be a huge success!

Arbitrary Thoughts

Saturday eve, it was. They both decided to meet at the beach and spend some time as usual. It was nothing special that day, but their meetings were always auspicious for her!

She never missed a single Saturday. She was always eager to meet him and used to arrive quite early at the beach. She waited there amidst the playing children, vendors and other couples, staring at the blue sky getting red shades.

She always maintained a cellphone but the excitement and the breeze both avoided her technological distraction!

As he approached, she greeted with a warm hug and watery eyes. Nevertheless, she was better at preventing tears from being noticed. He always brought wonderful gifts for her whenever they met. Today he was empty-handed!

The thoughts had already paved a way into her mind, though she acted consciously with a contemplated smile.

“Why is he empty-handed today? Did he cease loving me? No! He sounded alright in the morning! Maybe, I didn’t ask him if he was alright! But still, he would have told me if it had to be something like that!”

He made her sit on the bench – their regular bench, away from the wet sea-shore and noise of the crowd – which was always empty on Saturdays!

She was still thinking about his bare hands! He could easily notice that curiosity, but he ignored it! He knew how much she loved him. He asked her what she wanted – an ice-cream or a cotton candy – both were her favourites! ‘Anything’ wasn’t a reply he heard before!

He left the place looking for the vendor around! While walking, he turned back to see her mind engrossed in thoughts. She was deeply hurt.

“Is he shifting to a new residence? Do his parents dislike me? Is his new female colleague more beautiful than me? Is someone influencing him? How can he not tell me! I’d always been close
to him. He told me every single detail whether it was about me or against me! I’ve not even disappointed him recently! How can he be so different today?”

There arrived two guys and started flirting with her as she was alone! She asked them to wait for a couple of minutes if they wanted to meet her boyfriend! Those guys fled the place at once.

“Look, I’m so independent and confident! I understand the difference between right and wrong. We also understand each other so much. We have been together for so many years, but I never had such suspicious thoughts in my mind! Has anything changed? Is this the day I always feared about! But, all boys aren’t the same and I know him since many years!”

Tears would have fallen from her eyes in no time!

“How can he do this to me? I’ve never asked him for anything besides his love till date! I love him very much!”

“Yes, I know that”, he said with an intense look!

He had again returned with bare hands, but she could hardly remember why he went away for a while!

“Sorry, what are you talking about?”, she asked him with her watery eyes.

“I know that you love me very much”.

“But, when did I say that?”

“It was loud enough for me to hear!”

“But, where had you been?”, she asked as she remembered!

“Leave that! I want to tell you something very important.”, he said.

The serious expression on his face sent a chill down her spine. She was too nervous to look at him and least anxious to know about it.

He made his hand reach his pocket and remove something out.

“I love you and I want to marry you”, he said holding a ring in his hand.

Tears rolled down her chicks. She remembered her thoughts trying to drag her to the opposite end and she quit them at once! She didn't say a word. Instead she just hugged him tightly as she could.

The jeweler wished him good luck with his gesture-signs from behind!

The sunset was the perfect witness of the beginning of a new phase of their relationship!

Scars

Here's the story of my feelings.. It’s for only those who can comprehend it well perfectly rather dan misinterpreting it in any ways..

So it has to go this way..

Once upon a time…….. There was a tree; standing proudly amidst other trees with delicious fruits on it branches round d year.. A man used to approach the tree with a sack, remove few fruits, gather them and go back home with the sack full of fruits.. He used to repeat it daily..

The tree used to think that he must have planted n nurtured it and hence, he deserves to get its fruits.. The tree used to provide him with its fruits happily without any hesitation..

It continued for years until that inauspicious day dawned..

That day the man approached the tree with an axe in his hand instead of the sack.. The tree trembled with fear on his sight.. It was terrified wen the man starting attacking it with his tool..

Finally, it decided to ask him..

Tree: Why are you cutting me..?? You’ve planted and nurtured me with too much affection, isn’t it..?? I can provide you with fruits for more years..

The man started laughing upon hearing this..

Man: Who told you that I planted u..?? It’s not true.. I never planted you.. Infact, someone else had thrown the seeds randomly and soon there were trees all around this place.. I just enjoyed your fruits over the years.. And now, since I need your wood for burning purpose, I’m cutting you down..

The tree wept..

The tree felt the pain as the wounds of axe were getting larger.. Finally it realized that it believed the man unknowingly to so much extent that it shouldn’t have done so..

The tree was getting weaker after each attack..

Suddenly it regained its strength and held the axe in its stem so firmly that the man was unable to remove it even after many efforts.. The man tried his best to pull it out but in vain..

Eventually he realized his mistake and left the tree with those SCARS…!!

Frankly Explaining

Courtesy: Google Images and Photoshop..

Arnab: Hello everyone. Today I welcome Prathamesh Satardekar to this exclusive interview on Frankly Explaining.

Prathamesh tries to be as polite as possible.

Prathamesh: Hello Sir. Thank you for inviting me.

Arnab: Before I start with this interview I want our viewers to know that Prathamesh Satardekar is (taking a pause and checking his documents) an Engineering student!

Prathamesh gives a happy-cum-angry expression.

Arnab: So Prathamesh, my first question to you should be on your studies. But, I would rather prefer to ask you something else. Just before you entered the studio, I saw your friends wishing you good luck. But anyways, that’s not the point, but I heard them calling you Rats. So, my question to you is, why did they call you Rats when your name is Prathamesh? They should have called you Prathamesh, Prathu, Patya or at the most Sattu (with a jeering smile) I know many things about you.

Prathamesh: (after listening calmly to the remarks) I think it’s a matter of personal choice, isn’t it?

Arnab: Yes, it is. But why Rats and why not Cats, Dogs, Zebras or Donkeys?

Arnab tries to be funny. Prathamesh still remains quiet.

Arnab: Should I repeat my question?

Prathamesh: (with a bright smile) Are you crazy? I thought you were kidding!

Arnab had to get serious on this accusation.

Arnab: No, I’m not crazy. Else I won’t be interviewing people like you on this show. It seems you don’t want to reveal the secret behind the name Rats. It’s fine. We’ll move on to the next question…

Prathamesh: (strongly interrupting Arnab) Wait Sir, let me clear it. It’s the nickname extracted from bollywood movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and given to me by my friends during school years and it continues to be it since then. It’s not a big deal of a mystery!

Arnab: (with curiosity) Ok, so anyone can give you any name and you assume it to be yours?

Prathamesh: I mentioned “friends”. Didn’t you get that?

Arnab: (checking his documents) Ok. My next question to you is, do you consider yourself a Facebook-King or someone like that? Because the frequency of your facebook posts is so high that some people prefer not to follow your posts. Few people have also created trolls about the same. Don’t you feel pity for the homepage of your facebook friends? (pressurizing his voice) Now my question to you is, what kind of a human being are you?

Prathamesh: Nice.

Arnab: What nice?

Prathamesh: (being sarcastic) The answer to your question. I’m a nice human being!

Arnab: Don’t you think you are unnecessarily being sarcastic? I brought so many things into your notice and you are simply ignoring them. That shows how irresponsible you are.

Prathamesh: Isn’t the name of this show “Frankly Explaining”?

Arnab: Yes, of course, it is. And that is why I’ve invited you.

Meanwhile, Prathamesh is totally irritated.

Prathamesh: So, is it you who is going to explain everything?

Arnab realizes that he should remain quiet for some time.

Arnab: Okay. Explain me.

Prathamesh: First of all, the people you are talking about need not be my friends in real life. Secondly, you only spoke about the quantity of posts, not the quality. I share posts with political news, awareness operations, light humour, self-updates as well as thought provoking facts, being a mere knowledge and entertainment source for my friends. I don’t think, it’s wrong in any way! Thirdly, I do get likes for my updates and posts which is due to its worth and not any “plz like my post” message in anyone’s inbox. I hate that. And finally, people are free to stop following my posts as I haven’t kept that criteria for being my facebook friend!

Saying this, Prathamesh releases his deep breath. Arnab is awakened from his dreams by that noise.

Arnab: (rubbing eyes and checking his documents again) So, Prathamesh, how’s your study going on?

Prathamesh: Good.

Arnab: (shockingly) Good! I expected fabulous or something like that. According to my knowledge, you scored (checking his documents again) a whopping 8.46 CGPA. That’s an incredible score of an engineering student. But, I don’t hear the sound of that success. Are you depressed due to any reason?

Prathamesh: Not at all. Scores doesn’t define you. This is all what I want to say. So, I don’t need to boast about my grades. I just study for learning new things. Scores are at secondary levels for me. And I wish everyone should consider it the same way. Grades only help you to pass-out but knowledge will help you to deal with practical life after that.

Arnab: Yes, I agree to this point of yours. Moving ahead, our sources reveal that you are single but you have crush on many girls! (giving a cunning smile) Is it true?

Prathamesh: (feeling embarrassed though he need not be) Haathi chale bajaar, kutte bhouke hazaar! Being single doesn’t imply that I am in dire need of a relationship! When the time is perfect, maybe I’ll get a girlfriend. But, at present, I am single and I don’t have crush on anyone. Ask your sources to get accurate information.

Arnab laughs for a while.

Arnab: (being serious) Okay, one last question. I’ve heard that you have more enemies than friends. Do you have any gang? Are you involved in any of the fights?

Prathamesh has a hearty laugh.

Prathamesh: No Sir. I have no connection with any gang. And those are not enemies, they may be haters. I don’t consider anyone as my enemy.

Arnab: (interrupting him) That’s what I’m asking. Why do they hate you? Do you play pranks on them or have you cheated them?

Both of them laugh.

Prathamesh: Cheating and me! Never! They might consider my ways of living and my straight-forward thoughts offensive for them. I hate liars, selfish people and all those who don’t respect our Nature. So, this behavior of mine adds more people to the list.

Arnab: (smiling) That’s impressive, I must say. It was great talking to you. Thank you for coming to this show.

Prathamesh: I’m glad you invited me. Thank you once again.

Organ Donation

When you hear the term "Organ Donation" for the first time, the only thing which comes in your mind is obviously, the Death..

Noone is immortal (physically) in this world.. A human being is born to die someday.. Be it an accident, heart failure, brain hemorrhage or dreadful diseases like malaria, cancer, AIDS, tuberculosis, etc. or even old-age; there are various reasons behind the death.. The families of the dead mourn over the death and a funeral is held..

But, if you realize, various organs of the human body still survive under ventilator even after the death of a person.. So, even if you die, your unaffected organs, that is you, are still surviving in several parts of your body.. Then, why not donate it to someone who has a faulty organ and make yourself revive in the life of that person..??

Such a donation of organs and several useful parts of body to the needy is known as ORGAN DONATION...!!

We all love to live our life.. But, have you ever wondered how it is to live a life of death itself..??
Many people suffer from diseases and illnesses wherein they confront organ failure or their certain organs get damaged and stop working someday leading to their death.. Such patients are in dire need of organs and many of them die awaiting th donors..

According to the statistics, about 5,00,000 people die in India every year due to non-availability of organs...!!

A verse in ancient scripture मनुस्मृति says, "Of all the things that it is possible to donate, to donate your own body is infinitely more worthwhile."

A person's death is always followed by a depressed state of family members and relatives and this becomes a crucial decision for anyone to take.. Besides, several orthodox people consider that it affects the funeral procedures and destroys the body as well.. But, here, we must consider that saving someone's life is superior than destroying the lifeless body..

From the entire body, there are few useful organs which can be donated and transplanted to other persons.. Few vital organs include heart, liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs, pancreas, cornea, skin, etc.. Though all of these organs can be donated, the actual useful organs to be donated depends upon the occurrence of death of that particular person.. Hence, not all organs can prove useful always.. The doctors can enlighten your knowledge about it..

Donating organs is equivalent to donating an entire life to someone even after a person's death.. And this is how you can be immortal in a perspective..

By now, if you have made up your mind to donate organs, the most important thing is to inform your parents and close friends about it, as ultimately it is their decision which matters when your death is declared.. So, spend few moments of your life at present talking with your parents and your loved ones about your decision.. Make it known to everyone in your close vicinity..

The next step is to register yourself with an NGO or any hospital regarding your choice of organ donation.. It is not an authorized confirmation of your choice as your family members are permitted to take final decision after your death..

The last step is to maintain an Organ Donor Card issued by any organisation so as to make all others aware of your decision in case they forget about it in later years..

Considering organ donation at an international level, India has 0.08 persons as organ donors per million population (PMP).. This number is incredibly small and insignificant as compared to all other nations (with 10-20 donors PMP)..

According to survey conducted by International Registry in Organ Donation and Transplantation (IRODaT) in 2013, India stands nowhere amongst the top 50 nations with donor count despite of being 2nd populated nation in the world..

Due to awareness of social issues over mass media as well as social media, the youth of India is hopefully realizing such issues due to educational opportunities and knowledge gained by them.. People have started donating organs after its importance is being known..

I wish that a day will certainly come when none of the patients will die due to non-availability of organs..!!
